Rotating Reference Frame

Hi,
I am trying to simulation a rotating impeller in a mixing tank with Fluent. Does anybody of you have some experience with using a "Rotating Reference Frame" to model such a problem or can recommend some literature about it? Thanks, Carolin Kosiol |

Hi, First of all, you should create a dummy volume around the impeller and it will be better if you give the rotation to the dummy volume. I prefer to use RNGk-e model with pressure BC's.
