Hi ,

I am working on can combustor with finite rate chemistry model. This combustor in addition of having axial fuel and air inlets is having radial air inlets. Can Finite rate model be used in such cases.also when I give all boundary conditions it gives "SEGEMENTATION ERROR"

"BUS ERROR" How can i get rid of these. Please response asap

If you use Finite-rate (Arrhenius) option and your chemistry is stiff, you should use the coupled solver. Try using the finite-rate/Eddy dissipation model.

Hello,

Thankyou Graham for your response. But for the moment I am using only methane-air Mixture from the mixture template. But the thing that is important is what are the mistakes I am making due to which these errors are coming. And whether these errors are due to gambit Modelling or Fluent solver. pankaj

If you check your grid in Fluent (Grid -> Check) and the test passes, chances are it's the solver. You want grids that have minimum skew (plot this in Gambit or Fluent).
