Default Reference Value Selection

I am a little confused on how to select proper reference values for my problem.

I am using Fluent 5.3, how do changes to the reference values, show under Reports->Reference Values..., effect the overall solution.

Where in the Fluent manual can I find literature on these effects.

Thanks in advance!

The reference values are for postproccessing, thus the values you specify there should not affect your solution. See the section on Reference Values under the Alphanumeric Reporting section of your Fluent 5 User's Guide. Mine is in chapter 21 section 21.7 of volume 4 with a publication date of 1998.
