Question about 2D solvor in Fluent

The traditional method for 2D question is vorticity-stream function method. What about the 2D solvor of Fluent? Thank you.

The 2D solver in Fluent uses the same solution variables as the 3D solver, minus the 3rd dimension of course. In other words, it doesn't use any vorticity-stream function formulation.
