setting boundary and continuum in GAMBIT

Dear all,

My problem is very simple. It is simulating a fluid flow (isothermal) over a sphere in 3D-cubic shape domain. I use POLYFLOW as a solver and Gambit as mesh generator. I meshed the cubic volume as well as common curved faces between the sphere and the cubic domain (i.e. not all the sphere) as I am interested to calculate the force on the sphere only. Now how to set the boundary and continuum types in Gambit.

I did the following before exporting the file into (*.nue) format: (1) Boundary: Cube face upstream: inflow 1 Cube face downstream: outflow 2 The common curved faces between the sphere and the cubic domain: sphere 3. Continuum: Cubic domain: left for default setting. The common curved faces between the sphere and the cubic domain: solid. Named: sphere1

The following message appears: WARN (6013) Boundary type WALL is incompatible for solver GENERIC. Boundary unspecified not exported. WARN (6010) Continuum Entity sphere1 does not contain any valid entity and is not written.

(2) Boundary: same Continuum: Cubic domain: Fluid. Named: fluid2 The common curved faces between the sphere and the cubic domain: solid. Named: sphere1 WARN (6018) cannot export face face.37 mesh as a continuum type because it is part of a volume mesh which is a continuum type.

(face.37 is one of the common curved faces between the sphere and the cubic domain) and same message appear for all the other common faces. WARN (6013) see above WARN (6010) see above

(3) Boundary: same Continuum: Cubic domain: all faces of this domain except the common faces are assigned fluid. Named: fluid2 The common curved faces between the sphere and the cubic domain: solid. Named: sphere1 WARN (6013) see above WARN (6010) see above

This is a summary of my problem any suggestion would be appreciated with warm thanks
