Sorry for the first empty response...

This type of error may be produced by a lot of possible reasons. Of course it is best to contact the Fluent user support.

But first read this:

When I had updated GAMBIT from version 1.1 to 1.2, I received the same error message 'Received exception: SIGSEGV (segmentation violation)'.

After some trials I detected, that the Gambit.ini of version 1.1 was not compatible with that of 1.2. So I deleted the Gambit.ini-file and let Gambit 1.2 reinstall the file automatically.

I hope to help you.

Good Luck!

Re: Running Error in Gambit

It's a simple problem. usually it happen when GAMBIT accidently close (abnormal termination), for example when there's wrong operation (split operation often cause it).

You don't need to re-instal your GAMBIT. Just find an lok file ( *.lok) in your working directory. Delete that. And delete gambitxxx folder (xxx mean a numeric) in your working directory too.

Then ABRACADABRA............
