Default Boundary conditions in Fluent 4.5

Fluent community;

I have to solve an scalar equation, until now I have managed to solve it using UDS in fluent 4.5 but the boundary condition at the inlet is a problem. I have asked the Fluent people and they told me that I have to do it using the FNFLUX routine, but it does not work. My approach has been to impose an adjusting function at the LIVE cells at the inlet for the scalar function, it works but I have doubts if I am doing the right thing or if there is another ( hope better) method.

Does anybody still work with the less fancy FLUENT 4.5?

Thanks in advance.

Arturo
