Buenos dias a todo!

For the work with fluent we buy a new PC. Which one is the better OS to run Fluent on: Win 2000 or Linux? Who can share his experience or has any helpful comments?

Hasta luego!

Thorsten

Depend on what you want; reliability or speed. Linux is more reliable and easier to use with Fluent unless you are a big GUI fan of windows. x86 Cpus seems to have better performance under Windows 2000 (~10-20% faster), but Fluent interface is not optimal, especially GAMBIT.

I have experienced graphics problems using Fluent 5.5 on a particular PC running Windows 2000.
