EXPORT FROM FIDAP

hi, would anyone know how to export the datafiles from FIDAP for subsequent plotting of graphs in packages like EXCEL OR TECHPLOT? thanks pradeep

Hi!
The way I do it :| 1) plot the data you need in FIPOST with the PRINT-"on" ( default) | 2) close the database (open "new" ident="nothing" in order to close the your_ident.FIOUT file) | 2) open the your_ident.FIOUT in an editor | 3) cut the section you need ( it is usually columns and rows) | 4) save this section as an ascii file | 5) import to Techplot, gnuplot, Origin, etc. | Unfortunately, I do not know a direct way to export and wonder if it exists at all. good luck, Vitaliy. |
