GAMBIT grid export problem

I am a new user of Fluent. I meshed a cylinder with 3D elements by GAMBIT and exported it. But when I imported the grids into Fluent and checked it, I found I can't find correct boundary zones, thus I don't know how to add boundary conditions. Anyone can help me? Thanks a lot.

Re: GAMBIT grid export problem

You should define your boundary zones in Gambit (first define the solver (Fluent 5 I presume). Then you can define actual boundary conditions in Fluent.

Re: GAMBIT grid export problem

Hi, In gambit after defining the solver as Fluent 5 and meshing the computed domain, you should define your boundary zones with "zone command button" . Then you can export mesh file and read into fluent 5 and then define actual boundary conditions in Fluent. I hope it can give you a hand. Harry.
