Solar radiation
Hi! I work with AIRPAK trying to build a model of a room that have a large amount of solar radiation as a heat load. My problem is that I'm confused about how to define the problem. How do I describe the area which is directly radiated? I'm looking at a steady state problem at the warmest time of the day. Can it be described as a source with a convective part alone? I look forward to your replies..
Thanks! Anders |
Re: Solar radiation
hi, place a planar source object on the area which is directly radiated using the appropriate solar radiative heat flux. that area will heat up and the code will solve for the portion of the solar energy which is re-radiated to the surroundings and also solve for the portion which is convected away.
