Segregated or Coupled

Hi! would like to know advantage and disadvantages of using segregated and coupled solver in fluent. would like to know types of application that suits both solvers. Thank you.

Re: Segregated or Coupled

The coupled solver is much better at resolving shocks so it is suitable for transonic and supersonic flows. The segregated solver is much faster than the coupled solver for low-speed flows and is thus more suitable for incompressible flows (also works well in subsonic compressible flows).
