to tgrid or not to tgrid
 
hi..just a bit confused on the actual function of tgrid. whats the difference b/ween meshing in gambit in compared to in tgrid or using the fluent post processing grid adaption method. some simple explanation from anyone will save me heaps of time in reading...thanks

(1). It's very simple. tgrid is an old mesh code to generate tri/tet mesh automatically. (not the geometry) (2). Gambit is a new code which is trying to replace the Geomesh or the Patran code, to do both the geometry generation and the general mesh generation. So, this is a big code. (3).Grid adaption in Fluent is "modification to existing mesh". That is mesh refinement.
