Default Warn: Connected geometry may be imprinted

Hi Everybody !

When I was uniting two volumes I got the following warning message.

Warn: Connected geometry may be imprinted by the requested operation.

Can anyone help me what this means.

Also if you are modeling a free surface as wall with zero shear stress what should the roughness constant be. Zero or a non zero value.

Thanks in advance:

Rajeev

Don't worry about this warning. Imprinting means that lower geometry and connected geometry are affected by the Boolean or split operation being performed.

Imprinting leads to a change of names of the connected volumes too. I must say that I do not like this feature of GAMBIT - after any split you must recover the names to keep yourself familiar with the composition of your solution domain.
