Default merging mesh files

hi, In the tutorial regarding stator-rotor interaction using sliding mesh capability,it is told to merge two mesh files using Tgrid.Can this not be done using Gambit itself and if not, why?

TGrid will execute the program "tfilter tmerge2(or 3)d" and Gambit does not.

You can run the command from the command line if you wish, or utilise the TGrid GUI. If the origin of the multiple meshes are unique to each part, the command line option is better since you can provide translation and rotation information prior to merging the multiple meshes.

Type "tfilter tmerge3d" at the command line and follow the prompts.
