Hi

I have a mesh with hexas which can sometimes be next to two wedges. i.e the quad face of the hexa joins the two triangle faces of the wedges. How can I get fluent to cope with this set up. It works fine in STAR-CD !! Can I simply call each of the faces in question an interface boundary ??

Regards

Mark

There is no easy solution but there is a workround. What you need to do is collect all your faces which are not matching into 2 groups, one for the hex faces, one for the tri faces. Then set BC type of each zone to "Interface" Then go into Define --> Interfaces (I think). And make the two zones a pair of interfaces.
