animation of flow
 

Hi,guys, is there anybody know how to set the animaton for a fluid flow velocity in the pipe? it would be appreciable can tell me the step for animation. thanks.

Hi,

For a transient flow, this can be done using following commands.

Go to

Solve--->MOnitors---->Command

Enter 2 in define commands

press the ON button.

Enter the time step value (the frequency of plot).

Write the following command in the command coloumn

in the first row write /display/sw 1 /display/contour/vel , ,

in the second row write /display/hc "vel%t.tiff"

open window 1 through display option. Plot the velocity contours. Dont forget to save the settings for the tiff files in Hardcopy options.

This will everytime save the tiff files with names like

vel1.tiff, vel2.tiff .......

You can then make an animated giff file out of this.
