# 2D annulus for Gambit

 November 16, 2001, 10:33 2D annulus for Gambit #1 newbie Guest   Posts: n/a Anyone know how to create a 2D annulus for air-water flow? The gas-liquid interface could be in the upper or lower part of the annulus depending on flow regime. I've tried, but Fluent treats it as two separate, parallel pipes. Axisymmetric wont work either due to the asymmetric flow patterns, Please help!

It means you have to solve two separate flow problems(air flow and water flow). Try to solve that problem separately in a same geometry and couple the two flow field solutions. That would be one of the proper ways to solve it.
