From 2D to 3D

A) In GAMBIT, to generate a 3D from 2D (for the same geometry, in 2D only depth was missing for example, everything else is same), is there any easy way? B) In Fluent, is it possible to make a 3D from a 2D (Not axisymmetric) ? C) Any special guideline (mesh size for example) to move from 2D to 3D? D) In fluent, is it possible to divide a zone into two (to consider 2 fluid for example in one zone).

Re: From 2D to 3D

There is an option "Sweep Face" in GAMBIT. This is a very easy and convenient function to make volume from face.

Split your 2D geometry properly, make a line normal to the faces and apply the option "Sweep Face". In this case, cooper scheme would be very efficient in meshing your geometry.
