SOx calculation

Hi I would like to modelise formation of SO2 and SO3 in a chamber of combustion I have no idea about the kinetics of reaction of the formation of SOx and therefore I don't know if I could use PDF to ontain my results?

any references are welcome

thanks a lot Olivier

Re: SOx calculation

As far as I know, Sulphur is very fastly reactive, so that, I think, you can use PDF model, which is, as you know, based on 'fast chemistry'.

I thank you very much for your help. I will try it with PDF. thanks Olivier

Re: SOx calculation

Then, would you tell me why you need sulphur modeling ? NOx generation is dependent on the combustion environment. But, as a enginnering view, it is fairly realistic to assume that all sulphur in the fuel is converted to the mostly SO2(more than 90%) and partly SO3.

Sincerely, Jinwook

Re: SOx calculation

Hi JIN first I wish you the best for the new year to answer you, I am very interested to calculate SOx in order to evaluate the impact on the environment of the formation of SO3 and evaluate H2SO4.
