inviscid model for ship

Can inviscid model be used to simulate seawater flow around a ship? A fatal error immediately occured after I pressed the iterate button. There is no problems when laminar flow or turbulent flow models are applied. What's the problem. Can anyone clarify it?

Re: inviscid model for ship

I had the same problem and I conclude that inviscid flow model is incompatible with free surface problem. The problem probably originates from the fact that the inviscid flow model comes from RAMPANT. However, I managed to get some results on the Duncan experience case using viscous flow. The case is well known and documented and should be passed prior to consider 3D surface ship.
