Hi all,

I want to specify a Velocity & some 'Roughness coefficient' for simulating the rough bed of a channel with upward seepage.

In Fluent-5, I think it is not possible to specify two different Boundary conditions for a single boundary simultaneously. If it is possible Please let me know, how to do this. Thanks !

It seems like you'll need to make a series of velocity inlets with a series of wall conditions.

But I think you can specify a pourous wall, with species mass fraction (I think that is what it is for).

Can you do this and set a roughness parameter? Try it and let me know. Ask if you have more questions.

Also see 6.13.1 of the Fluent Manual if you have it.

Hi Chetan,

Thanx for reply. How to set series of vel inlets with series of wall conditions as you wrote?

<It seems like you'll need to make a series of <velocity inlets with a series of wall conditions.

My problem is how to set these two BCs simultaneously for the same (single) boundary.

Pl. reply.
