Hi, folks,

Recently I simulated a batch stirred tank reactor with pre-filled solid-liquid phases. I utilzed granular eulerian/eulerian multiphase model and multiple rotating refrence frame. But I can not define the boundary conditions for the solid-liquid multiphase, such as volume fraction, dentisiy, since I didn't have INLET boundary condition? Anyone has this kind experience before? I really appreciate your suggestion.

Roger

You do not need any boundary condition because you do not have any inlet. Your problem is dependent of initial condition(initial value problem), not boundary condition. You only need default boundary conditions for the walls.

Thanks for your input, but where to input the initial conditions? I'm using Fluent 4. Thanks again!

Oh, my last simulation with Fluent version 4.x was about two years ago. Now, I am using Fluent version 5.5. I can not exactly remember, but, as far as I remember, 'PATCH' might be your answer.

Sincerely, Jinwook
