Hi! Anybody knows how to solve combustion in the channel with varyng pressure? PrePDF calculate properties of species at constant pressure. Victory

I've never used this model, so don't really know...but is the change in the pressure in the channel significant in relation to the total operating pressure?
It depends on your problem I suppose, but often I would guess that pressure changes in the channel are small compared to the operating pressure and hence can be neglected as a first approximation. What do others think? Greg |

You could always try the Magnussen model and compressible flow.

Hi! Thank's for answers! I think, the Magnussen model leaves out of account the reaction kinetics

No, you input the reaction stoichiometry and kinetics parameters both. Try e.g. the methane-air two step mixture that is present in the Fluent database.
