hi, can any one tell me the meaning of "strain rate" under "derivatives" in fluent? Is it effective velocity gradient (1/sec)?. waiting for reply

Hi,
In fact, it's the magnitude of the strain rate tensor (symetry part of velocity gradient). This is a scalar. bye, Farek |
