Hi,everyone I want to calculate the flow field around an airfoil.I use the far-field Boundary Conditions so the airfoil is put in the middle of a square domain. I want to make dense meshes near the airfoil and thin meshes far away the airfoil. How should I do in FLUENT 5.5? Thanks for any response!

Well that problem seems familiar to me. I would recommend you to have a semicircular domain with the arc of circle at the front. This would give you the best mesh. Also use boundary layer near the airfoil surface to capture velocity and pressure distribution correctly. You could also try meshing with successive ratios to achieve that.
