FLUENT license on LINUX platform..
 
Hi, I've just converted my platform from WINDOWS 2000 to LINUX..But I cant run neither FLUENT nor GAMBIT the problem was with the license...I tried alot but with no solution..the system is not able to recognise the HOSTID ...any advice..Thanx.. JIM

Which distribution of Linux do you have? Officially supported is only RedHat6.2,7.1 and SuSE (I think 7.1).

RedHat Linux 7.2... Do you think I should go back to redhat 7.1??

RadHat7.2 is NOT a problem. I'm runing Fluent on it. Fluent and Gambit are working OK but I have some problems with TGrid.

Have you asked the CFD people near your area? I got a problem concerning Fluent license once and I asked so many people about it but the ones who got the correct answers were the CFD people. License problems are quite simple to solve but unless you know what the problems are you'll just be fiddling with everything for ages and won't be getting anywhere! Go to their site and see who's in charge for your region.
