 July 19, 2002, 04:10 Re: grid problem #4 Gavin Guest   Posts: n/a Hanging nodes: when you need to refine an area of a mesh due to lack of detail in your solution (BL maybe), for each face within selected region, a node is imposed in the centre, thus dividing the cell face into four. This node is known as a "hanging node". It is a method of selective refining, and is usually applied to cells of certain gradient (y+ for example).
