temperature limitation?

Im trying to run my full model, using symmetry..I initially ran my full model wihout having symmetry, emaning i drew out the whole geometry..and solved.. But when i draw the half model and start iterating, using symmetry, i find that i get message syaing a temperature limitation in a partucular zone with 6000 cells.. I do not get this when i run the full model, so by right i should not be getting that message with the symmetrical model right? Can someone shed some light on this? Thnk you

Re: temperature limitation?

Do you have this warning just during the first few iterations, or throughout the entire simulation?

Re: temperature limitation?

How is done combustion modelling in gas turbine combustor?

Newer, I can also predict pollutant formation, especially, NOx and CO emissions.

Re: temperature limitation?

The first 4 iterations went fine..but after tht i had reversed flow for another 4 more iterations..From around the 10th iterations onwards i started having the temperature limitation thingy.. also, when i saw tht happening until my 18th iteration, i stopped iteratins, went to the limits panel and increased the temp limit to 50000..i know i shouldnt anyhow increase it, but i just wanted tio see how high the temperature hits...

P.S ..im using a different nick in sch and home..hope i didnt cause a nuisance by posting two same messages under different nick.. Apologies:P

Re: temperature limitation?

-mostly the problem is not the temperature, but the velocity-field. Check your boundary settings

-never change the temperature limit, unless you are sure in reality you have temperatures of that magnitude.

Re: temperature limitation?

But the weird thing is..i dun get this problem when i run the full model.. Only when i run the symmetry(half model), i get this problem..My velocity setting are the same as that for the full model.
