Dear Fluent Users,

Is there any way in Fluent to moniter or get the time required for the solution to converge.

Thanks.

Sridhar.

Hello Sridhar,

The solution convergence depends on various factors like the mesh quality, initial guess, boundary Conditions, the relaxation parameters, the discretisation scheme you use etc.

Some problems take lesser no. of iterations and some take more. So there is no way we can pre-dict how many iterns (and hence time) a problem will take for convergence. fluent only gives the time it takes for a given no. of iterations depending your CPU load.

Hope this helps.

Regards, Sridhar.
