ACOUSTIC analysys of a fan with FLUENT6,Possible?

Does FLUENT6.0 can be used to do a ACOUSTIC analysys of a fan ?(1900Pa,8.1m3/sec,2900rpm).

If not, what software else can be a better choise?

thanks for your help

There is a acoustic module for Fluent6, but I never tried it. I know they are using the Ligthhill-analogy to predict noise-levels.

Thanks. Is the acoustic module another license to buy other than the basic CFD license? or another program?

I believe it's a bundle of udf's to use with Fluent that can be obtained from your support engineer or from the users website.
