Multiple flow outlets

Dear All,

A domain has one inlet & two outlets. The outlets has different cross-section areas. Mass flow is known at inlet. However, flow conditions are unknown at outlets.

How to calculate pressure drop through such a domain? In Fluent, if we use outflow boundary condition, the flow is equally divided for equal flow rate weighting in outflow panel.

Mass flow distribution is unknown at outlets.

Thanks.

Re: Multiple flow outlets

Then you should know the pressure of the each outlet. That is to say, you should know one of the 'mass flow rate of the each outlet' or 'pressure of the both outlet'. Otherwise, the problem is 'not well-posed(incomplete)'.

Sincerely, Jinwook
