mixing behaviour

A simple question, I want to study the mixing behaviour of a gas flow field, how would i do this and how would i validate it.

Thank you very much for any advice,

Re: mixing behaviour
First of all, I suggest you narrow down the stuff you want to investigate, e.g. what physical system are you using (pipe, tank, etc.?). Then, what kind of information you want to extract e.g. velocity, pressure, etc.? Fluent has specific pre-processor for some application e.g. Mixsim for reactor tank, if you geometry is not a standard in any of these specific application used by the preprocessor you have to generate your own mesh. Maybe, the first thing you ought to look at is the tutorials for Fluent, see if any of them is similar to your system.

Good luck
