VOF again

Hi, I'm solving a liquid film flow with VOF, I have reached a time step of 10^-7 but would like to know if I can do something to have a faster convergence.

Thanks again

Re: VOF again

Hi CFD Newbie, I got this script from an Australian friend. And it works very well for my case. See how the time step is changed as converges. If at any stage it diverges, you have to stick with the time step (or u have to change the UR, discretization scheme, models, adaptation and so on..) just b4 it diverges. For your case, start with 1e-7. At any time step, you can prolong your calculation.

CFD MAN -- file read-case-data try1 q solve set time-step 1e-4 q dual-time-iterate 10 5000 q wcd 10ts_1e-4 q solve set time-step 2e-4 q dual-time-iterate 10 5000 q wcd 10ts_2e-4 .... ... .. . make it steady if it converges all the way
