Brief description of CFD

Hi,

Can anyone give me a very brief description of the CFD solution process. From initial conditions to solve a reacting flow.(using FVM) A very simple description will be much appreciated.

thanks in advance

John.

Re: Brief description of CFD

Thanks Jonas but i was really hoping for a more mathematical explaination. like does the code start by solving the continuity eqn then solve the navier-stokes eqn and from there solve the energy eqn. And does it do this for every node point. point form explaination would be great, maybe that is too much i don't know??

Thanks in advance,

John.

yes friends....

....such an explanation can be very much appreciated. It gives a very clear overview towards the solution process. I am also eagerly waiting for such an explanation, if any one can.

thanks and regards

For brief description u can have a look the Ref book

NUMERICAL HEAT TRANSFER AND FLUID FLOW, by S V Patenkar

This is a good book for the CFD. It tells u how it will calculate the value of the all equation with figure and step by step.
