Hello, before I make a model wing to test in my wind tunnel and compare it with CFD results, I want to check out my Turbulence model. I will do this with a simple cilinder. My question is if I should try a time dependant solution because of the von Karman vortex. Are they really important in the surface pressure results? The wind tunnel speed is 30 m/s and the cilinder diameter is 100mm

Hey! The karman vortex is a laminar effect, taking place at about Re = 100. At Re = 2E5 all the transient effects will be modelled in your tubulence model (quasi-static).
