Steady state at vof!!
I wanted to know if we can get steady state, in vof or not, I mean in the steady state condition, should the flux net of the field equal to zero or not? NOTE :The initial condition and all the boundaries of the unsteady state are known.

Re: Steady state at vof!!
Yes, you can get steady state at VOF. You should use the implicit scheme in VOF model. You will get the flux net.

Re: Steady state at vof!!
I have used this implicit scheme, but the final net flow rate is not equal to zero.

Re: Steady state at vof!!
How did you calculate the net flow? Net flow of which fluid?

Re: Steady state at vof!!
net flow rate calculation is done by program.

Re: Steady state at vof!!
Yes for steady state, the net flux is zero, if not, your solution is not converged assuming that your program is correct.
For unsteady state, [Total accumulation+initial mass=total input of mass-total output of mass] for that time. If not, your program is wrong/ solution didn't converge. Hope this helps. Nancy |
Re: Steady state at vof!!
What do you mean by accumulation.. this sumation is calculated on what... thanks
