How to differentiate 2D-cylindrical and 2-D tube

Default How to differentiate 2D-cylindrical and 2-D tube

Hi,

If i want to construct a 2D-tube to simulate laminar flow, then how does fluent know this is a tube and not take it as a slit of the same configuration?

--------------------------top layer entrance --> --> --------------------------lower layer

You can choose the axisymertic option in the solver definition, to define your computational domain as a tube. The radius of the tude shall define the width of the 2D rectangle.
