Dear friends I am using Fluent for my project. I am doing "computational analysis of flow through diffusers for a centrifugal compressor". I am doing 3D analysis. I need to specify the components (Tangential and Radial) of inlet (of diffuser) velocity as a function of z (Vr = Vq = f (z)). So I have to write an UDF. So, can you please send any example which will guide me to write that UDF as early as possible. thanks in advance

Dear Madhu,
Check the udf again, it is also for the 3D problem. U have to convert the equations from Cylindrical to Cartetian... and then u can access a component of a gradient vector by specifying it as an argument in the gradient vector call (0 for the x component; 1 for y; and 2 for z). eg: x=x[0]; y=x[1]; and z=x[2], if u carefully see the examples u will get it. bye Alamgir |
