Has anyone ever heard of the 'saltate' or 'saltation' boundary condition for walls, as opposed to reflect, trap, escape etc?

If so, can you please tell me how I can set this boundary condition.

Thanks

DAE

Hi

I have been working by DPM model for long time and I have ever hear such term "saltate". Perhaps it means that you can set the normal and tangetial components of the reflect boundary as a function that you could write in a UDF.

Therefore, I guess you can write a UDF which provide a periodic function for the normal component of the reflect boundary.

Best regards

In Version 2 (from the 80's) there was a saltation boundary condition for particles. If I remember correctly, the idea was that part of the particle mass (say water) was transferred to the continuous phase and the rest (salt) was left behind.

I don't know if this boundary condition continues on in Versions 4, 5, and 6, but it could be easily replicated.
