Hi,

I am modelling only a laminar flow in a tee-junction and I find out energy losses using bernoulli equation. I don't have any heat exchange, temperature is constant. Do I have to turn on the energy equation in Fluent "Define models" section because bernoulli equation is in fact based on mechanical energy balance?

It would be great anyone of you who is reading this can answer my question.

Thanks, Suresh

it seems that energy equation is necessarily solved if any heat exchange is experienced .you should exmine you mathematical model carefully and see if it's necessary to turn on the "energy equation"(you should judge heat exchange occurring not only by whether the temperature is constant or not)
