Edge meshing, then face meshing, then volume meshing.(My personal opion)

Hello Nikita,

Maybe you should check the size/number of mesh you actually use in the problem. Most of the time slow meshing is accociated with the number of elements used (At least from my experience)and other factors... A few things to consider

1. Have you tried to mesh at coarser mesh?

2. Have you done the grid dependency test? Sometimes we don't have to resolve to the finer mesh possible depending on the error we can stomach

3. What's the type of element you used?

I guess you have to figure out what you actually want from the model and roughly predict the behavior of flow before start meshing. You also can incorporate stuff such as shape-function and boundary layer Especially shape function. However if you REALLY need the fine mesh.. The long meshing time if something that you have to live with... But try other form of mesh control.. You might find some ways that work well

follow the meshing icons in gambit GIU, edge, face then volume.
