LARGE EDDY SIMULATION
I was reading Fluent manual and found this " Since the application of LES to compressible flows is still in its infancy, the theory is presented here for incompressible flows. It is assumed that the LES model in FLUENT will be applied to essentially incompressible (but not necessarily constant-density) flows."
However for my 3d turbulent compressible model i tried using the RSM and K epsilon but it was not giving practical solutions. But when i used the LES model for turbulence it gave the solution matching with experimental results. I dont get it. 1. IS the LES model in FLUENT good to be uised for Compressible flows. 2. IS it just solving for variable density and not compressible? 3. Are the results which i am getting and are comparable with experimental ones, correct despite the fact that i am trying to model teh compressible flow and possibly the LES model is not for compressible flows.
