# UDF Boundary Condition

 June 4, 2003, 12:38 UDF Boundary Condition #1 Dennis Guest   Posts: n/a When using a UDF to implement a BC does the profile have to be a continuous function or can you insert specific points on the boundary and have Fluent fill in the gaps. Thanks for your help

 June 4, 2003, 22:41 Re: UDF Boundary Condition #4 DENG Guest   Posts: n/a Maybe you do not explain your problem cleasly. if you want to define a function along the boundary, it is simple. if you want to define an incontinuous boundary condition on the two sides of the boundary, it can be implemented by UDF.

What I have is a 2-D boundary plane on which I will know velocities at cerain points in a grid taken from experimental data. From what you've said I will use a math program to create a function from the velocities and then use a UDF to implement it, unless someone knows of a better way.
