Is there a paper available which compares the different commercially available software? i.e. one that says, Fluent is good at this, CFX is good at that, and StarCD is good at the other.

I don't think there is a single paper which compares all models implemented in FLUENT, CFX and StarCD.
On the FLUENT site you can find a list of successful applications. There should be similar sections on CFX and StarCD sites. You can also compare the models implemented by different solvers (see manuals). However, I can say FLUENT and CFX have a lot of similar models, so, if you don't have some really specific problem, they both could work for you. And if your model is not implemented, you can always modify or add equations in both solvers. Hi ap |
