Turbulent flow in hydrocyclone

Hello All,

How is the best turbulent model to simulate two-phase flow in hydrocyclone?

Thanks

FLUENT only offers k-eps models for multiphase flows.

I'd try with RNG k-eps, because it offers the Differential Viscosity Model options, which allows you to better describe flow properties in low-Reynolds number zones.

Anyway, you'd better to do some trials to see what's the difference you have on results changing the model.

Hi,

I read paper about cyclone and hydrocyclone since few years. My question about turbulent model is to people who simulate hydrocyclone in Fluent or other program CFD.

Thanks for all replay.
