Hi; What turbulence model is better for cavitation modelling? Dose has anyone an experience with K-w model?

hi, roozbeh

I have a little experience on cavitation simulation. One of my labmates did these by using fluent and i by StarCD. The results are similar and however, the size of cavotatopm is much smaller than the one observed in the experiments.

Hi!

I'm back from vacation So: - turbulence model...usually k-epsilon model with some modifications is used (the plain one does not predict reentrant jet and consequently cavitation cloud separation). - bubble number density....as i said before, nobady really knows that one (It seems that the number 10^7 to 10^9 and bubble radius 3*10^-5 should be ok) - literature...just put cavitation and modellind in google.....you'll get many good papers out...

Hi!

As I'm also simulating cavitation I would be interested in knowing what turbulence model to use etc. Please share your knowledge!
