Re: floating point error
A floating point error is an error which happens during a floting point operation.
Nothing to do with the name of the folder where you save your mesh or case file. Are there other messages after the "Floating point error" one? Something like "Invalid number" or similar I mean. Hi ap |
Re: floating point error
floating point error:invalid number......what's the problem of this

Re: floating point error
This error may depend on different reasons.
For example, I encountered it using the granular model, because I did a mistake giving a boundary condition on granular temperature. I'd suggest to check all your case settings. If you use UDF, check the code for errors too. Hi ap |
Re: floating point error
Dear nikita, In case you use a UDF you should check if the 3 letters 'nan' are mentionnioned which means 'not a number' that would mean you effectuate a division by zero at the beginning of your iterative process.

Re: floating point error
dear friends, it seems that this error comes when i start scaling grid.in gambit, all my dimension is in mm, when in fluent i convert it in meter using buttone SCALE.after it, when i iterate, about hundred iteration, this error appeared.but when i not scale my drawing to m...and let it be as in gambit..then the iteration is success..but the result is very very bad..pls advise
