stream contours in 3D geometry
 
can any one tell how to get stream contours in 3D geometry??? thaanks

I think you're referring to contours plot of the stream function.

If you want to plot them on a particular section of your 3D domain, just create the plane (Surface->Plane) on which that section lays and then plot contours choosing the plane you have created as plot surface and Stream Function in the drop down list.

I did creat plane alrready..because to view the contours of velocity, tmperature etc. i created two planes... but i found no stream function option in the drop down list..

Sorry, I didn't read carefully your post.

For a 3D case, stream function is not available under the velocity category in the drop down list.

its ok...SO there is no alternative to get stream contours in a 3D geometry????

deifine the surface and then export the result (velocity components) to another CAD forvisualisation. I Dot it with Tecplot
