Has any one compared these two solvers for the same problem? I am trying to run a case( have run 70 iters so far on a 1 million mesh) and coupled -explicit solver shows me 0 pressure on a monitoring surface, while segregated-explicit solver shows me e6 pressure on the same surface. Is this fine?

Hi sandeep,

solver settings are case sensitive, which means that you cannot use both solvers for the same problem. first you have to decide what kind of problem you want to solve and out of that information you choose the solver. coupled solver is for example a good joice if you would like to calculate compressible air flow with supersonic or even hypersonic velocities. seggregated solver is best used for incompressible flow calculations. this two examples should show you the varity of possibilities and therefore its the best to define the problem and to choose the right solver afterwards. mixing both would just confuse you.

have a nice day ed

thanks for the reply, I have a mildly compressible liquid flow with low Re. Which solver would be best in your opinion

from my point of view, I would use the coupled solver.

I would consider using only Segregated solver
